The National Account Manager, Government Accounts will be responsible for liaising and building relationships with priority Federal (VA, DOD), Medicare, Medicaid.

The National Account Manager, Government Accounts is accountable for actively differentiating and selling the product, establishing its value proposition, facilitating P&T committee reviews, submitting bids, leading negotiations and executing contracts. The National Account Manager, Government Accounts is responsible for gaining formulary access and reimbursement of the client’s lead candidate. 

This role requires the National Account Manager, Government Accounts to interact with a broad set of professionals including pharmacy directors, medical directors, P&T committees and contracting managers. The successful candidate is expected to be a high-impact professional who will be evaluated against established access and reimbursement objectives.  

Essential Functions: 

  • For aligned payers: monitor, document and influence coverage and utilization policy for appropriate on-label access to the product portfolio
  • Anticipate and respond to payer access and reimbursement challenges in assigned geography in a timely manner
  • Attend and interact with regional and national payers at key industry conferences
  • Develop and execute a business plan that are consistent with company objectives, strategies, and commercial goals
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Representatives, Area Sales Directors, Field Reimbursement Managers, Medical, and HUB services, as required
  • Achieve targets and objectives set by senior leadership
  • Track and analyze HUB portal data for specific geography
  • Assist with market access training and ongoing education of payer and plan policies
  • Interact with customers according to compliance policies and procedures
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%

Experience:  

  • BS/BA degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years in biopharma sales, regional and/or national accounts
  • Proven relationships with government payers
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment (sales, marketing, finance and market access)
  • Ability to travel > 50%

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $200,000-$210,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.  Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance
