In this role you will formulate a plan and empower your team to provide clinical expertise to health care providers, helping them to improve patient outcomes. Your capacity to creatively strategise, motivate clinicians, and elicit achievement makes you the right fit for a Director role with Syneos Health.

The Syndicated Field Director is aligned to the VPs of Medical Affairs to drive achievement of key business objectives, launch readiness for new teams, trainings as needed and other special projects. This position supports all aspects of the co-employment agreement, as appropriate as well as supplements field coaching.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Play a significant role in the interviewing and hiring process to ensure alignment with the agreed upon hiring parameters, field implementation timelines and overall project objectives for assigned projects and as needed on other teams.
  • Conduct Field Visits and MSL assessments for assigned teams
  • Participate in the development of a customer-centric strategic MSL engagement plan and supporting tactical activities to support Medical Affair’s goals and objectives for assigned teams
  • Plan and participate in key contract-related team meetings and for follow up of action items and keeping other team members aware of progress fir assigned teams.
  • Responsible for identifying training needs and coordinate all training, activities, communications of the field based MSLs.
  • Assist in the professional development of the team by being a source of information and guidance.
  • Work closely with client Leadership Syneos Health leadership to ensure alignment on goals, objectives as well as adherence to policy (i.e. combined leadership team meetings, trainings where appropriate and internal meetings where appropriate).
  • Maintain consistent and open communication with assigned field teams and appropriate client personnel
  • Drive Syneos Health Connectivity with field personnel, pulling thru the Syneos Health culture and communicating Syneos Health business updates
  • Oversee data and metrics for assigned areas of responsibility and provide insight into data interpretation to identify proactive solutions 

Requirements

Along with your ability to remain at the forefront of your field, you must possess:

  • Degree in a scientific discipline (or equivalent) PharmD, MD, PhD preferred
  • Significant leadership and field and/or office-based Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development team management experience
  • Past experience in a CCO or CRO will be a plus
  • Highly resourceful and strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence, operational rigor and project management capabilities, able to directly manage a multinational teams 
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills across functions and leadership teams; comfort in business and technical discussions
  • Superior presentation and listening skills and commitment to instilling standards of excellence in the Medical Affairs organisation
  • Strength in clinical, business, and emotional intelligence as well as information systems and technology
  • Ability to articulate the value proposition of Medical Affairs to existing and potential clients
  • Ability to create credibility with clients that leads to business growth
  • Ability to adapt to changing internal and external environments
  • Ability to travel as needed
