In this role, you will be responsible for managing the portfolio of full-service development opportunities and programs to meet strategic, financial, and operational objectives. As a Global Clinical Leader, you will act as a subject matter expert and work to form cross-business unit and cross-functional teams to design and successfully execute innovative solutions to meet customer needs. You will:

  • Serve as a clinical senior level strategic partner, collaborating across the Syneos One team and the broader Syneos Health organization to support customer opportunities and program delivery
  • Lead the team of Asset Development leads responsible for program delivery, including recruitment, onboarding, training, professional development, and resource allocation, utilization, and profitability
  • Support clinical development strategy decisions across the delivery portfolio
  • Own the full-service development solution design and delivery process from program initiation to closure, with a focus on continuous process improvement and evolution of the model to meet customer and Syneos Health needs

 Essential Requirements:   

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15+ years’ experience in senior clinical development roles, spanning across multiple functional areas (e.g., General Management, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality)
  • Financial acumen and the ability to understand business unit-level financials and manage business unit P&L
  • Deep knowledge of the global pharmaceutical industry and healthcare system trends, financial data, customer insights and needs and ability to translate competitive intelligence data into meaningful short and long-term actions
  • Asset development experience across multiple pharmaceutical and therapeutic areas
  • Ability to travel as needed

Desired Requirements:  

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant, scientific specialty with 20+ years’ related work experience
  • Management experience of all facets of clinical development, including P&L ownership within the past 3-5 years
  • Customer-specific therapeutic area experience
  • Global development experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $213,000 to $350,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
