Responsibilities

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) will operate as the subject-matter expert by educating HCPs and/or office staff on reimbursement, access, and coverage issues affecting the clients’ product. In this role, the FRM will play a pivotal part in working toward securing continued patient access to the client product prescribed to them by their HCPs.  The FRM will educate appropriate HCPs and/or their office staff on how the product is covered under the patient benefit design (Commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid) to facilitate appropriate patient access. The FRM will also need to collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, Market Access, and Field Sales, while abiding by all corporate and industry policy and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conduct live face-to-face and virtual engagements, using approved materials to educate HCPs and office staff on the access/reimbursement process, which may include formulary coverage, utilization management criteria, prior authorization procedures, appeal resolution, and patient support programs
  • Effectively link customer insights to offerings and resources to address patient access barriers
  • Build trust through follow up and knowledge of the access journey
  • Serve as payer expert and be able to communicate payer changes in a timely manner
  • Identify market access trends from local, regional, or national payers, and partner with key stakeholders to enable appropriate patient access and support patient pull-through
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as required

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry with at least 2 year of relevant experience in Market Access or Patient Services
  • Insomnia experience a plus
  • Experience navigating reimbursement challenges
  • Advanced knowledge of patient support services, healthcare structures, pharmacy benefits, payer access and reimbursement methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to educate HCPs and office staff on access, reimbursement processes and Patient Support programs
  • Proven track record of collaborating broadly with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Training in and experience in responsible business communication both written and spoken
  • Solutions oriented and strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures
