Responsibilities

The LMS Administrator is responsible for maintaining day to day administration activities in the SumTotal Learning Management System (LMS).  This includes loading /creating course content, creation and modification of learning assignments, audience configuration, curriculum management and reporting.  The LMS Administrator will also serve as point of contact for Level 2 technical resolutions within the Commercial Contract Organization. The LMS Administrator will also partner with Selling Solutions Client Services and Field Support Technicians to maintain existing projects and resolve ticket escalations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Day-to-day support and administration of Syneos Health Learning Management System for Commercial Solutions
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, ensuring system configurations for project launches.
  • Perform LMS quality control duties routinely
  • Continuously seek to improve the LMS to meet business needs and improve user experience
  • Partner with HR support services and IT to maintain data integrity and good customer service
  • Maintain knowledge base documentation, and ensuring best practices are followed by power users
  • Create and schedule LMS reports as needed
  • Develop LMS content as needed using third party tools like Articulate Storyline.
  • Manage LMS ticket escalation through IT Service Desk ticketing systems using email, phone or live one-on-one to resolve issues
  • Work independently to identify, troubleshoot, and solve moderate to highly complex user support problems

Please note this a Contract role for 6 months with the possibility to extent. 

This is a REMOTE position.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing LMS systems, SumTotal is ideal
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; additional IT-related technical certifications also preferred
  • Results oriented, proactive work ethic and comfort with change is required
  • Experience working with or supporting technologies, specifically learning management systems and learning technologies, ideally SumTotal
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage competing projects and deliverables with similar timelines and a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry with a functional understanding of training development, eLearning development and instructional design
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
  • Functional understanding rational data base languages, web browsers and system plug and play applications
  • Intermediate to expert level working with Microsoft Office and Portal Applications like LMS and HRIS, Jasper Studio and MySQL

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $40 to $50./hr  The base rate range represents the anticipated low and high for this position – the actual rate will vary based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
