An Associate Consultant is an individual contributor on consulting projects and is responsible for working in close collaboration with other members of the consulting group to produce high quality Client deliverables.

Specific tasks could include conducting secondary market research (i.e., analytically and scientifically based), supporting primary market research (i.e., note taking, follow-up and select participation in interviews with physicians, payers, and patients), assessing products and markets, developing forecasts and other types of analytical modeling, developing go-to-market and customer engagement strategies and plans, including sales force optimization and planning. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Highly proficient in technical skills required for successful project delivery: MS PowerPoint, Excel, Data Analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Builds positive working relationships with clients, consulting staff, managers, leadership, and internal support teams
  • Exhibits professionalism and positive, respectful, and mature interactions internally & externally. 
  • Displays passion and drive while advocating for a superior client experience through project delivery.
  • Works proactively with project management to align on project objectives and Associate Consultant role.
  • Maintains regular communication with project management on progress and potential barriers to meeting objectives or role expectations
  • Demonstrates proficiency in supporting primary research interviews with key stakeholders.
  • Prepares for and attends client meetings and presentations, including meeting follow-up.
  • When appropriate, serves as a content knowledge expert on data analysis and secondary research findings. 
  • Demonstrates confidence and credibility through interpersonal skills and content knowledge.
  • Creates high-quality PowerPoint slides quickly and effectively, in accordance with project leadership guidance and Consulting Style Guidelines and templates. 
  • Contributes and learns to design and build a compelling, structured, and logical storyboard with guidance and direction.
  • Supports the management of projects at both the client organization as well as internally at Syneos Health, through the proactive management of individual project responsibilities and is able to quickly adapt to changing priorities to achieve goals and targets.
  • Displays competence in creating and documenting project activities, including meeting minutes, status reports, and other client communications and project administration. 
  • Maintains document version control and style guidelines.

  • Bachelor’s degree with direct experience in biopharmaceutical consulting - Graduate degree preferred, in business or life sciences
  • High level of proficiency in MS suite of products
  • Knowledge of basic programming (Python, JAVA, C++) (preferred)
  • Understanding of consulting and biopharmaceutical commercialization
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to think critically and creatively
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to collaboratively develop relevant client deliverables
  • Effective and professional communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written)
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management, time-management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $69,399 to $126,100.  The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.  Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  In addition, some positions MAY include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
