Overview

The Syneos Health Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role will accelerate on-going clinical trials in the Immunology therapy area through site visits, response to inquiry, discussion and presentation, and insight collections and corresponding action.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactions with study investigators within a given geography to answer scientific, unsolicited questions. MSLs will use various channels for interactions (In-person interaction, group presentation; remote interaction, etc)
  • Visits at Site initiation with CRA and periodically afterwards until trial completes
  • Effectively present information to HCPs and be able to respond to questions, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives
  • Continuously update own knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials and scientific activities
  • Collect and provide meaningful medical insights back to the medical and clinical organisations to be actioned in support of the strategy development
  • Identify and understand potential barriers to patient enrolment
  • Support patient recruitment and/or discussions around the safe and effective use of our customer’s investigational products including MOA, background and rationale for the study, as agreed with local medical management and as defined by the study scope document
  • Ensure that our customer’s Pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators of studies, and alert appropriate personnel to any identified Adverse Events

Job Requirements

  • MD, PharmD or PhD in life science equivalent preferred
  • Experience in Immunology preferred
  • Ability to work independently and act as a team player
  • Good communication and presentation skills to present scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals
  • Developing peer-to-peer relationships with scientists and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments
