Overview

 Our Summer Internship Program

An internship with us gives you the opportunity to work side by side with passionate problem solvers on powerful and fulfilling work. Our collaborative culture inspires you to learn from the expertise surrounding you and to share your own knowledge and experience with colleagues. You’ll be asked to speak up and challenge the status quo – you have a voice and will be encouraged to use it.

Additionally, over the summer, there will be opportunities to participate in events just for our interns:  social events with other interns, career development workshops, community service projects, and networking with senior leaders – just to name a few!

This Opportunity

Communications Strategy functions as a center of excellence and vital resource across the various communication agencies (PR, Advertising, Medical Communications, Branding). We are a group of fast thinkers who come together from diverse backgrounds to work collaboratively to surface deep, intuitive understandings of people and apply those effectively to our clients’ business.

This role will support the Behavioral Insights and Strategy discipline which infuses data-drive insights about health care providers, patients, and consumers and evidence-based behavior change models into the team’s strategic thinking.

We are looking for a candidate with a deep curiosity about people and culture, a passion for diving into research that helps explain human behavior, and the eagerness to apply behavior change models to marketing strategy.

This is a 12-week internship; full-time over Summer 2023.

The goal of this internship is to offer the candidate a full view of what it is like to work in the healthcare communications field. As such, we adopt a rotational approach to the internship, ensuring the candidate is exposed to various aspects of the marketing strategy from mining for behavioral insights, conducting audience research to writing creative briefs and applying behavioral science to brand strategy and customer experience frameworks. During your time with us, you will also be exposed to the creative process and enjoy observing and participating in creative brainstorm sessions and reviews.

  • Completing various tasks under the supervision of a team member, including conducting secondary research, writing conference recaps or project briefs, overseeing project timelines, etc.
  • Collaborating with fellow interns to complete a special project and presenting to the executive leadership team
  • Seeking out increased opportunity for learning and exposure to aspects of the agency world that intrigue you most

Job Requirements

  • Recent graduates or students entering their senior year in the Fall 2023 who are pursuing a degree in a behavioral/social science, marketing or communications with completed course work in areas such psychology, behavioral economics, sociology, or equivalent.
  • This position can also be tailored to students pursuing or recently completing an advanced degree in applied behavioral science or health communication.
  • Past internship experience or project work in Applied Behavioral Science, Communications, Advertising, Qualitative or Quantitative Research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams), email, and voicemail
  • Above-average attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skills
