This Opportunity

GENICOS is a full-service health care communications agency that goes beyond advertising to create personalized brand experiences. We develop strategic marketing solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech and health-and-wellness clients around the world, and our expertise is focused within oncology & advanced therapeutic markets. We create experiences that involve, inspire, educate, and activate people through ongoing brand journeys.

Our GENICOS team is looking for an intellectually curious problem solver to join our team to help us continuously deliver clinically and scientifically based strategic and data-driven solutions to our business unit partners and clients.

This is a 10-week cross-functional internship. You will spend 70% of your internship with the Creative team and 30% of your internship with the Account team. This will enable a broader, more well-rounded experience of how an advertising agency works; full-time over Summer 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as an active member of the agency team, contributing to day-to-day tasks associated with developing creative campaigns, working cross-functionally, collaborating on projects, and capturing and incorporating feedback.
  • Participating in team meetings and, as appropriate, in client presentations
  • Completing various tasks partnering with various agency team members, including concept ideation and the development of strategic design solutions; helping to develop project briefs; helping to facilitate team and client meetings, participating in project reviews, gain an of understanding cross-functional agency workstreams
  • Collaborating with fellow interns to complete a special project and presenting to the executive leadership team
  • Seeking out increased opportunity for learning and exposure to aspects of the agency world that intrigue you most

Job Requirements

  • Students entering their Junior or Senior year Fall 2023
  • Preference for those pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or similar
  • Proficiency in core Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Teams). Experience with Adobe After Effects, Adobe XD, or Figma is a plus.
  • Above-average attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a workload consisting of several concurrent projects or tasks
