Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Sr. Learning & Development Leader (LDL) is primarily responsible for the successful development, delivery, execution, and management of all of the Client’s training-related needs. The LDL is expected to comprehend and communicate the disease state, marketplace, and product-specific materials and must possess effective facilitation and communication skills. As a partner to sales management, should be highly competent on aspects of sales leadership and application of selling skills in complex customer environments.

Job Responsibilities 

Liaison Responsibilities

  • Supports Field Sales and Field Sales Management Team by leading efforts around national sales meetings, POA meetings, manager meetings, and other training interventions
  • Works with Field Sales Management Team to provide coaching on managerial effectiveness and other topics
  • Will liaise internally with marketing, sales, market access, sales training, and commercial operations team members and externally with alliance partners in order to develop a coordinated sales training strategy and approach for supported brands
  • Participates and leads in strategic projects designed to fulfill the needs of the field sales force. These projects include continuous collaboration with all relevant support departments: marketing, clinical, regulatory, IT, sales operations, commercial analytics, etc., and include but are not limited to new product launches, new marketing directives, new indication launches, new positioning directives, etc.

Design Responsibilities

  • Conducts ongoing training needs analyses
  • Creates and maintains a workable Training Plan to determine the goals, strategies, and tactics to be implemented to achieve client satisfaction
  • Develops training concepts and associated objectives, descriptions, and sequencing for all training efforts
  • Works with Field Sales Leadership and Field Sales Management to determine specific metrics and measurements to assess the success of training activities

Development Responsibilities

  • Oversees content for all forms of training delivery & works with the content developer/vendor
  • Nurtures the training concepts throughout their evolution to ensure alignment with the strategic intent of the overall brand objectives
  • Engages with designated Field Sales Team and Client HQ Member throughout the entirety of development process
  • Oversees live training logistical and preparation support, including scheduling assistance, printing guides, and facilities requirements
  • If needed, conducts leader or facilitator training for all developed content and provides support for delivery as requested
  • Manages live training intellectual property and leverages existing assets appropriately to improve project efficiency

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Oversees implementation of or delivers all training programs, including new-hire backfill training, advanced training, NSMs, and POAs training
  • Manages classroom environment in a manner that allows representatives to meet learning objectives
  • Coaches representatives during training classes and in evening sessions
  • Evaluates the competency levels of training class participants and provides timely evaluations and feedback
  • Works with sales management to formulate a representative development plan
This is a FT position for 6 months with benefits and has the potential to extend and/or convert to full-time with the client.

Travel required.

Education

 

Required: 4-year college degree

 

Preferred: Masters/MBA

 

Skills

 

Required:  Pharma training experience, Experience in CNS/Psych and high-level PowerPoint skills.

 

Preferred: Pharma sales and sales management experience; Background in consulting, instructional design.                   
Veeva Vault experience is a plus.
