Our Summer Internship Program

Responsibilities

This Opportunity

The US Commercial Solutions Quality team is seeking an intern to join us this summer to work on important quality enhancement initiatives, workstreams and other activities for the US Commercial division of Syneos Health. In this role you will provide support on projects to define and implement enhanced operating procedures for the Commercial division that are aligned with the standards set forth in the Syneos Health Quality Manual and regulatory guidelines. You will report to and work closely with the Manager, Quality Assurance Commercial Solutions with additional mentorship from personnel within the Corporate Quality Commercial group.

What You’ll Do

  • Support researching existing processes within the Commercial division and investigating identified quality issues
  • Assist during critical thinking brainstorming sessions to design process improvements that will solve quality-related challenges and/or establish a more streamlined way of operating across the Commercial division
  • Assist with developing project plans that address the strategy/problem statement
  • Assist with project meeting management such as scheduling routine project status meetings with the necessary stakeholders, and creating and distributing meeting agendas/minutes
  • Maintain metrics and tracking of progress on projects
  • Create eye-catching and engaging PowerPoint slides for meetings, communications, and other presentations
  • Assist with drafting and/or reviewing company-controlled documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
  • Assist with change management activities for new or revised company processes, including implementation strategies and creating content to effectively communicate process changes across the organization
  • Provide support for client audits of Syneos Health such as assisting with project management of the audit preparation activities and organizing/tracking/reviewing the files and documents compiled for the auditor’s review
  • Other work to be assigned as needed in support of internal project objectives and tasks related to the Commercial Quality Management System (QMS)

This is a 12-week internship; full-time over Summer 2023.

Job Requirements

Your Skills & Expertise

  • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration/Management, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Conscientious self-starter with excellent organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Past internship experience or project management/support work a plus
  • Interest in the Pharmaceutical Industry
