Overview

The senior scrum master is responsible for leading, managing and coaching our software development sprint teams through planned releases. A key member of the product team, you’ll be responsible for applying scrum to produce high-quality work in a newly formed enterprise product development team.

Responsibilities

  • Scrum duties include managing timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies. Ability to coordinate people and projects with a mindset on deliverables.
  • Manage product sprint team members. Responsibilities include line management, performance management, and professional development for those employees along with interviewing and onboarding new team members. 
  • Lead and guide sprints, retrospective meeting and stand-ups. Work with project management to plan, understand scope, and create sprint schedules.
  • Establish, track and report on sprint productivity metrics
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate and mediate internal communication and effective collaboration.
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur; help teams to implement change effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint; guide development teams to higher scrum maturity while building a productive mindset for the team to “own” the product.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science Degree (BS/BA), Information Systems or Management, Software      Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5+ years working as a scrum master or in a similar role. Excellent knowledge of scrum framework including techniques.
  • ​Proven experience leading a high performing team and working across multiple stakeholders to deliver results while also helping mentor and grow the team. Global experience is preferred. 
  • Strong software development lifecycle knowledge, previous experience as a developer, BA or other related technology experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience within a product-driven team is preferred
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Strong time management for both projects and ability to provide clarity for resources to remain unblocked.
  • Proven leadership ability, problem-solving & analytical skills, and conflict-resolution ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Agile frameworks knowledge
  • Familiarity with Azure and/or Oracle APEX tools and resources is a plus
  • Scrum master certification (CSM) is a plus, experience with Jira is a plus
