Role overview

The Business Development Proposal Manager will support Europe Communications business growth and drive operational excellence with regards to new business, organic growth, knowledge management and network activation. The person will partner with and support agencies in Germany, UK and France to deliver global proposals and growth opportunities across Medical Communications, Public Relations and Advertising.

Responsibilities

RFI / RFP delivery

  • Support RFP/pitch process by managing timelines, tracking progress, support coordination and applying pitch process
  • Works with agency senior leadership to ensure optimal team structure and resource planning for pitch/proposal delivery
  • Manage effective engagement with internal Syneos Health stakeholders and external knowledge resources/subject matter experts (e.g., agency partner network) to support RFP/pitch delivery excellence
  • Liaise with internal service departments (Strategy, Finance, HR, Creative studio, Research & analytics, Legal, compliance) to provide infrastructure for efficient RFP/pitch delivery
  • Proactively evaluates post-pitch and applies lessons learned
  • Owns RFI response development from timeline planning and management, to gathering stakeholder input, to finally creating and curating submission content
  • Develops capability decks for prospective client presentations
  • Consistently promotes a culture of proactive and collaborative Business Development

BD operations and internal initiatives

  • Contribute to overall BD operations excellence as a member of the Europe BD team
  • Plan, develop and deliver selected BD initiatives
  • Offers pro-active advice and fresh approaches to deliver proposals
  • Leads continual evaluation and development of BD assets for the MS Teams Library, and is responsible
    for the accuracy of these assets, working with members of the European BD team to ensure it is
    regularly updated

 

Knowledge management & reporting

  • Connect with European Communications Business Units to drive salesforce.com compliance, consistency of usage as primary data source, and maximise data quality
  • Help to develop appropriate, timely and accurate reports as required in collaboration with the research and performance team
