This position serves as the primary point-of-contact for multi-project accounts (external and internal contact lead). The account supervisor oversees project and financial management functions for multi-project accounts, and drives organic new business growth within existing accounts.

Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following:

  • Client Management Determine and lead plan of action for delivering projects with little oversight from senior management
  • Facilitate regular touch points with client to gauge performance and develop relationship
  • Create process for efficiencies and areas of improvement for account and project work
  • Demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills with clients and internal team members
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and make decisions independent from senior management Project timeline development and carry through
  • Information and task delegation to internal team members
  • Internal process compliance
  • Client teleconference and meeting preparation
  • Project initiation and action plan development (internal and external) Ability to manage multiple projects within a given account
  • Financial Management Demonstrate superior organizational skills in the following areas:
    • Demonstrate ability to analyze project utilization reports and identify areas that require scope and budget changes
    • Estimate and statement of work development for new projects Client signed estimate, PO, and invoice tracking
    • Regular and accurate budget reconciliation for all projects
    • Communicating budget-related details to client
  • Business and Product Knowledge
  • Identify areas for organic new business growth within account
  • Demonstrate ability to discuss future project work with existing clients
  • Assist senior management with assigned proposal and new business presentation development
  • Identify areas for improving existing and future service offerings
  • Demonstrate understanding and acumen of the following: Therapeutic area marketplace Product and brand

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, in related field
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in medical communications
  • Strong client management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong understanding of medical communications, the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, and the science behind pharmaceutical products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
