Responsibilities

The Field Medical Echo Technician is responsible for identifying disease and product related medical needs in a defined geography. The primary role of the Echo Technician is to develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) within their healthcare system. The purpose of their interactions is to engage in meaningful scientific exchange that will ensure patients have access to manufacturer’s medicines, to ensure their safe and appropriate use through peer to peer discussions aligned with medical strategies and needs expressed by external stakeholders. The Echo Technician also serves as the medical resource for external stakeholders in the community.

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • Graduate of accredited ultrasound program required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Registry in cardiac ultrasound (RDCS or RCS) required
  • 2 years of adult echo experience required; 5 years preferred
  • Ability to translate scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form to help Echo & Sonography personnel best serve their patients. 
  • Knowledge of echocardiography creation of 2D and 3D images desired. 
  • Knowledge of national healthcare and access environment desired. 
  • Ability to work independently and act as team player highly desired. 
  • Disease area knowledge desired w/ understanding of scientific publications. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Excellent English skills, written and spoken. 
  • Must be open to travel
