The role of the Product Specialist (PS) on the customer’s team will be to support the launch of a new 1st in class product with a unique mode of action in Switzerland. Within their assigned territory the PS will be responsible for bringing about an understanding of the role of the product and its data in helping patients with insomnia. Driving change within current treatment pathways and being the territory chief orchestrator of the customer journey and community, by identifying local healthcare professionals (HCPs) within primary and secondary care settings with an interest in treating insomnia.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coverage of an agreed territory the PS will identify and develop HCP value-based interactions using approved materials/media, along with company data and insights to proactively interact across primary and secondary care whilst ensuring alignment to national and regional launch strategy
  • Will ensure interactions are delivered with competency and quality building a strong differentiated approach to customer interactions
  • To create, adapt and deliver on a well-defined business plan within budget and agreed timelines
  • To deliver sales, activity and other key performance metrics as deemed suitable
  • Provide periodic qualitative feedback on the effectiveness of communication and detailing support materials and on the main objections received from HCPs
  • Present clinical, financial, and value-based solutions using approved company materials/media to key decision-makers within the therapeutic area
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the safe, appropriate, and effective use of the product to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Identify HCPs with a special interest in Insomnia to support the advocacy of the customer’s product and assess their importance to the local business

Job Requirements

  • Fulfils legal requirements for medical reps in the country e.g. (Germany §75)
  • University Degree – Life Sciences preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Product launch experience desirable, especially in GP, CNS and or Neurology
  • Current relationships with HCPs with an interest in insomnia, including Primary Care GPs, GPs with special interest, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists and Neurologists will be a distinct advantage
  • Experience selling within CNS/ Neurology/ Psychiatry is preferred
  • Experience in applying a multi-channel approach including the use of e-detailing, remote call applications and other digital approaches e.g., omnichannel
  • Enthusiastic, high energy, a team-orientated person with a “can do” attitude
  • An entrepreneur at heart who sees roadblocks as opportunities and problems as the norm
