The position is responsible for identifying, developing and positioning technical solutions for small to large clients or client opportunities to address clinical and/or commercial development challenges and deliver increased revenue for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to uncover current and predict future business challenges; partner with the business development organization, client contacts and SMEs for tailored technical strategy & story to solve business challenges.
  • Develop innovative solutions proactively for unique and complex problems through analysis of client, industry and function with broad impact to the business.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of assigned client companies to include existing sourcing strategies, competitive landscape and identify key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement plans for specific opportunities to include positioning, deal execution & engagement strategies.
  • Lead large, complex and cross functional/cross segment teams to develop and finalize opportunity strategy and pricing, presentation development and bid defense participation, pricing & contract negotiations.
  • Participates in development of business strategy including ideas for new product development or market approach.
  • Attends customer meetings as required to present strategies and proposed solution with a tech enabled focus.

Job Requirements

  • BS degree in a business, finance, accounting, economics or health sciences related field, or equivalent education and experience. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to influence, convince and persuade both internally and externally
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft office products.
  • Previous business success in sales/marketing, pharmaceutical industry, CRO and/or Commercial business development. Tech enabled focus is strongly preferred
  • Ability to facilitate and lead team activities related to new business opportunities
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to travel as required
