Reporting to the Syneos Health National Business Director (NBD) with close collaboration to the Idorsia Area Sales Directors (ASD), the National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for the successful management of a national team of Associate Sales Representatives (ASRs).  The NSM will oversee the activities and performance of their team and is responsible for meeting or exceeding program goals.

  • Lead a team of Associate Sales Representatives to promote products to targeted physicians and accounts to achieve specific business goals
  • Collaborate with District Managers to direct ASRs in the retention of targeted business within the assigned geographic area for vacancy management purposes.
  • Compliantly work cross-functionally with home-office teams and field management to maximize brand adoption and growth within key accounts, including the successful execution of promotional activities
  • In partnership with ASDs, NBD and Idorsia Senior leadership, develop and evaluate the formulation of sales strategies, analyze and interpret strategies to apply to the vacancy management program.
  • Partner with the data and analytics team to maximize the use of data and reports that enable precision customer targeting and the highest level of customer service.
  • Full engagement with targeted key customers by developing and implementing strategies that support the growth of products.
  • Manage and deploy appropriate resources to ensure achievement of objectives. Establish and manage ASR team expense budgets, expenditures and ensure appropriate return on investment
  • Attract, coach and retain individuals who will ensure high level performance
  • Provide verbal and written guidance, coaching, follow up, and development of ASR sales professionals in all phases of their work.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision influencers/makers in all key accounts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • 5 years proven 1st line leadership experience in a virtual and field based environment
  • 7+ years of relevant life science sales experience
  • Previous successful team and product launch experience
  • Previous leadership experience with vacancy management sales personnel
  • Proven ability to lead and manage significant scope and/or complexity of portfolio
  • Proven ability to hire, lead, coach & mentor high performing teams
  • Previous Psychiatry/CNS/Sleep Disorder experience preferred
  • National Travel up to 50% including significant air travel and overnights
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Understanding of compliance & privacy laws
