The role

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of client projects in Europe, working with the Creative Team, and Advertising client account teams to achieve this.


Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Traffic management

  • Responsible for partnering closely with the Accounts team to do intake on projects, ensuring the brief is filled out accurately and agreed upon.
  • Ability to manage workflow for artworkers, designers, art directors, copywriters, and video/digital teams.
  • Scheduling the work with the creative teams, along with other Project Managers and maintains traffic system.
  • Organises and attends regular meetings with Studio Manager and other Project Managers, to discuss work for the week ahead and brief in account and creative team.

Creative contact

  • Main point of contact for Advertising Creative work in the London office.
  • Deals with all enquiries from account teams such as project timelines, budgets and ad hoc requests.
  • Working closely with Studio Manager and other Project Managers to ensure operating as a fluid team and work/overflow is being properly addressed.

Project management

  • Creates timeline for projects and ensures all milestones are met, flagging any warning areas.
  • Ensures that the team across all media are fully utilised and not overrunning on jobs, continuously tracking progress. 
  • Proactively reaches out to account teams to gain visibility into upcoming work
  • Provides accurate timelines for all work and updates the account teams throughout the process, flagging any areas warning areas.
  • Sets up meetings for when project completed to agree learnings and drive quality and efficiency.

Financial management

  • Accurately estimates the cost of jobs to clients and account teams prior to starting any project, ensuring accurate forecasting.
  • Ensures all timesheets are completed accurately and on time to support accurate reporting

Resourcing

  • Works closely with Studio Manager on ensuring creative team are adequately resourced and that necessary approvals are sought.
  • Supports Studio Manager and other Project Managers on sourcing freelancers and builds network for when additional resource is required
  • Working with Paprika to plan time on creative team

Required Skills

  • Maintains professional and good relationships with account teams – excellent people skills
  • Good understanding of working within budgets
  • Knowledge of full design spectrum and ability to advise and manage digital, artworking, print and video resources and requests.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of requirements of client account handling, and understanding of client needs (either through own project management of account management)
  • Proactive and ambitious, always striving to improve systems and bringing about positive change through good ideas
  • Excellent time and self management skills with ability to manage and deliver projects across multiple markets.
  • Good verbal and written communications and ability to articulate clear direction to designers and creative teams
  • Experience working with Wrike – new project management system is due to launch in Q4 2022
