● Proven track record of collaborating with senior engineering staff and driving architecture decisions
● Experience identifying and executing on initiatives to increase code quality and consistency across the engineering org
● Passion for creating and enhancing developer tooling
● Experience starting projects from scratch as well as jumping into existing architecture
● Desire to keep up-to-date on the latest industry techniques and trends

Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Engineer at StudyKIK, you will collaborate with our development and product teams to advance our company mission and contribute to the core product experience.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ yrs of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with JavaScript & Node.js
  • Strong system design experience
  • Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and performance
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous, object oriented, and functional programming design patterns
  • Experience working with AWS (ECS, Lambda, SQS/Kinesis etc)
  • Experience with Apollo GraphQL a plus
  • Experience with React.js a plus
  • Experience developing and scaling REST APIs for various platforms
  • Experience developing low latency, high availability applications
  • Ability to deliver within a fast-paced agile software development environment
  • Experience developing in serverless microservice environments
  • Familiarity with Domain Driven Design principles
