This opportunity is part of our Deployment Solutions team, which partners with top-tier pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology companies to provide better, smarter, faster solutions for the industry.

Take part in leading the transformation of healthcare by joining the largest provider of outsourced commercial solutions to the healthcare industry. Under moderate supervision, the Virtual Sales Specialist is responsible for providing outbound marketing and inbound customer support in a pharmaceutical environment. Customers include but are not limited to physicians, healthcare providers, and healthcare clinic personnel. 


The Virtual Sales Specialist candidate is a results-driven individual with the ability to “close the deal” on the first call.  Specialists will execute the client’s various marketing and commercial offer campaigns, with a sense of urgency, against defined target lists of prospective customers through phone and web engagements to achieve business goals/objectives. Successful candidates for this role should demonstrate strong cold-calling/direct selling skills and a hunger to pursue and acquire new customers and build a book of business. Specialists will need to develop a strategic plan of action for each campaign to drive results and achieve sales goals.

Because this is a buy and bill market, specialists must have the ability to navigate complex accounts and gain access to key stakeholders and decision makers, which may include, but are not limited to, healthcare providers and administrators (i.e. office managers, pharmacy buyers/directors, procurement, etc). Specialists will demonstrate the learning agility to quickly adjust and deliver appropriate marketing and commercial offer campaigns, messages and promotional materials to each respective audience.

Administration of territory information and compliance to reporting and regulatory requirements is imperative.  Participation in training and development programs is required.

  • Achieve a minimum of 100% of business goals/objectives
  • Provide an exemplary customer experience via phone and web engagements
  • Develop a plan of action to execute each marketing campaign and associated target list, independently or with assistance from KAM/EC Manager
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the industry/market, all promoted products and commercial offers, and the account landscape
  • Navigate complex accounts to identify and gain access to key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Articulate key marketing and commercial offer campaign messages via phone and web engagements to prospective customers and close the deal
  • Forge quality, ongoing relationships with your newly acquired customers to build a book of business
  • Collaborate with client field sales team to receive and share learnings and market intelligence
  • Collaborate with Engagement Center Manager, when needed, to efficiently and effectively resolve customer needs
  • Collaborate with client staff and vendor partners across service lines
  • Direct customers to the Medical Information Department for any off-label questions
  • Report Adverse Events (AEs) in compliance with client policies
  • Demonstrate accountability and effective time management in the maintenance and execution of all company policies, reports, and procedures in a timely manner
  • Drive results in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Understand and utilize inContact Telephony system and records appropriate information in accordance with customer business rules and training

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • 1+ years of sales experience in B2B or pharmaceuticals 
  • Consistent and proven track record of exceeding goals
  • Results-driven, with strong direct selling and closing skills
  • Resilient, with strong follow-up skills
  • Takes initiative, with strong performance orientation – “You’re hungry”
  • Expert selling skills including customer engagement, influence and persuasion, and relationship building
  • Ability to verbally communicate with high impact
  • Deliver product and commercial offers messaging in a compliant manner to drive new customer conversions
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to be coached and apply feedback
  • Ability to multi-task between numerous websites and applications
  • Ability to travel as required for training, client sales training meetings (NSM/POA), etc.
  • Ability to flex operating hours to assigned region (East/West/Central)
  • Strong technical/computer expertise including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Preferred Skills:

  • Vaccine and Buy/Bill experience
  • Virtual Sales experience
  • Proven ability to work with all regulatory legal, and compliance parameters.

Interviews may be conducted in person at an on-site interview location. For any in person interviews, local Covid safety guidelines will be followed.
