In your role, you will bring the “art of persuasive science” to our brands.  In the healthcare space this is accomplished by putting the reader first and layering in data, creative thinking, and brand strategy into concise copy that affects the beliefs of the audience. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing communications agency in a role that spans Strategic/Marketing Planning, Project Planning & Resource Management and Creative Development & Evaluation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Fulfills the leadership tasks and deliverables of an ACD including leading concept work, pitch work, client presentations, creative workshops, communication planning, mentoring of junior staff and resource management in support of changing business needs in addition to daily management of assigned brands
  • Bring creativity and spirit to our clients’ work, while understanding and working within the regulations of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Lead and direct, across disciplines, the development and execution of short and long-term creative strategies
  • Work with Managing Director to ensure appropriate creative talent is matched with brand teams
  • Help foster a partnership-oriented environment between creative and account teams
  • Ensure creative scope, schedule and budget are accurate
  • Develop and sign-off on creative estimates and ensure high quality, profitable execution of creative deliverables
  • Coordinate with Creative Director and Manager, Creative Operations in projections for, and assignment of, creative discipline group members to client projects
  • Maintain awareness of status and deliverables of all discipline group members’ project work
  • Facilitate and orchestrate contact between the creative team and the client
  • Manage, prepare and present new business development and project presentations
  • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of each creative discipline’s workflow

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years experience directing multidisciplinary creative teams in an advertising agency
  • Worked in multi-disciplinary teams that included Art Directors, Designers, Writers, Account Teams
  • Strong creative and conceptual vision for branding, and the ability to execute high quality integrated interactive communications against strategic business objectives 
  • Successful experiences working with and selling to clients
  • Ability to lead creative teams including information architects, designers, and writers
  • Strong time management, creative resource management and business management capabilities
  • Has demonstrated ability to direct and multi-task effectively under pressure
  • Experience with and understanding of writing for digital channels
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • High professional standards, ethics and values - every day, on every project

These criteria would be assets for the role:

  • Experience in healthcare
  • Experience with regulatory guidelines of Rx&D/PAAB/ASC
    • Degree or post-secondary certificate in English, Journalism, Science or equivalent
