The Managed Markets group at Syneos Health is looking for an Account Executive to join their team in New York.

The Account Executive assists in managing the day-to-day account workload and execution of client and strategic objectives. They will drive tactical projects through agency processes to meet delivery requirements and deadlines by working closely with internal team members. This is a junior position that involves daily client contact and assists in all aspects of account management.

Description of Duties

The Account Executive will be a self-starter who demonstrates initiative when exploring team and client needs, responding to requests and learning about disease states, therapeutic categories, managed markets customers, marketing principles, pharmaceutical industry market dynamics, brands, and communications channels Demonstrates a proficiency of skills, such as: • Attention to detail • Organization • Problem solving • Interpersonal, verbal and written communications • Priority setting  Exhibits a strong work ethic  Reliably and consistently adheres to agency work standards  Demonstrates a commitment to fostering a team environment across functions  Develops strong relationships with internal team  Adapts well to new situations and environments  Bounces back from disappointment, regains composure quickly  Acts with professionalism and integrity - exhibits open, honest, and fair behaviors  Recognizes and escalates issues when appropriate  Demonstrates respect, empathy and appreciation for others  Regularly exercises judgment and discretion to manage multiple projects Possesses working knowledge of agency processes and works well with internal team to ensure projects are progressing on time; assesses and monitors team and job productivity and efficiency  Supports ASMM, SASMM, or ADMM by managing and tracking projects through agency from planning to execution: o Generates project work orders and ensures agency and client objectives are aligned o Generates project estimates with the Producer by allocating hours to the team, monitoring project progress, and keeping individual and overall budgets on track o Manages the internal team on each project with an eye towards completing the job within the approved budget and timeline  Assists in all facets of account services and client management as directed o Actively participates in internal and client status meetings and effectively communicates client feedback to cross functional agency team and keeps team apprised of changes or updates to account in a timely manner o Creates contact reports to document client discussions and decisions in a timely manner o Assists in managing projects through client review process o Develops understanding of the brand's value proposition and strategic imperatives o Assists in tactical planning o Develops and submits internal documentation per agency SOP (e.g., brand reviews, creative history books, client backgrounders, etc.)  Monitors financial status of accounts o Monitors hours and OOPs by project and overall PO o Responsible for approving billing and invoices, partnering with finance to manage hours, and maintaining SOX-compliance o Prepares materials for bi-weekly/monthly reporting to the client with oversight  Works with internal team members to develop and understand the client Value Brief; evaluates individual tactics developed by the agency against the Value Brief  Works with internal team members to develop and understand the Project Brief for appropriate tactics; evaluates project against the Project Brief  Gains understanding of managed markets, customer segments, the therapeutic category, the brand, and relevant competitors; proactively seeks out team members to gain working knowledge of the industry, brand, and category on an ongoing basis  Keeps up-to-date on industry, managed markets, and therapeutic category trends through websites, trade journals, market research attendance (as permitted), and rep-field rides  Mentors AAEMM on workflow process, timelines, estimates, and engages them in team activities to drive teamwork and teach leadership skills  Remains alert to client needs and elevates opportunities to convert organic growth opportunities

Minimum Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (marketing, communications concentration preferred)  1-3 years of agency, marketing, or sales experience  Computer proficiency required
